I love leggings, but how do I make them look modern, rather than a flashback to 80's fashion?

Thankfully, leggings have come a long way since then. Today’s are super comfortable and a great layering tool. When I’m on-the-go, I like to belt a jersey tunic over them and slip into a pair of ballet flats. For a night out, I layer them under a tailored jacket or trench and step into my favorite ankle booties.
