Hello! My name is Jenny Ray. Kelly Spinner and I have been friends for 21 years. We met in high school, Biloxi, MS, and even though she moved to South Florida after only four years of us being the best of friends, we have remained the best of friends and, believe it or not, grew even closer despite the fact we live 14 hours apart. We have been through bad relationships together, crying on each other's shoulders time and time again; finally getting it right and getting married; child birth - I flew down to be with her after her first was born, and she did the same for me; health scares; financial devastation; hurricanes, etc...
Kelly is THE MOST GIVING, LOVING, LOYAL and UNDERSTANDING person I know. She has helped me through just about anything. I believe she deserves a trip to NYC with me for many, many reasons, but one special reason I will share with you. I live in Biloxi, MS, and when Hurricane Katrina hit, me, my husband, my eight-year old daughter and six-week-old daughter lost almost every single thing we owned. We had insurance, but they denied our claim due to the water that invaded our home. We evacuated and were stuck in Niceville, Florida with less than $100 to our name. We lost our jobs because there was nothing left of our hometown. Therefore, we had no money. Kelly and her husband jumped into action, seeking anyone and everyone they knew to donate money, clothes, even job opportunities since my husband and I both lost our jobs because of the storm. They raised enough money for us to begin rebuilding our home and had tons of clothes donated for my children and some for my husband and I, too. SHE DESERVES SOMETHING AMAZING AFTER ALL SHE HAS DONE FOR ME, not just what she did for me and my family after the storm, but simply as a thank you for being an amazing friend.
If you decide to award us this awesome trip, I will finally be able to do something wonderful for her, just as she has for me time and time again. I cannot attach a video as we do not live in the same state, but I am attaching a picture of the two of us. Thank you for considering us. If we won this trip, it would be something we would never forget, our special time together. We don't get much alone-time now because of children, work and the distance between our homes.
